The preservation of cultural heritage and the shaping of future clarinetistic developments are central elements of his artistic work.
Nicolai Pfeffer's collaboration with the Munich-based G. Henle publishing house and his publications with Edition Peters and Breitkopf & Härtel illustrate his contribution to the development of clarinet literature. In particular, the collaboration with Henle-Verlag, which is renowned for its scholarly Urtext editions, emphasises Pfeffer's endeavour to provide high-quality sheet music.
Pfeffer has made a name for himself in particular through the publication of new and first editions of classics and works of clarinet literature. In co-operation with renowned publishers such as Henle, Edition Peters and Breitkopf & Härtel, he has made a significant contribution to the publication of works by important composers such as Bruch, Crusell, Stamitz, Gade, Bassi, Rossini and others, thereby significantly expanding the existing repertoire in some cases.
